Lindt Chocolate $2.00 Coupon Has Reset!
Hurry and print this coupon for $2.00 off any Lindt chocolate while you can!
It makes the candy bars free at Harris Teeter this week during Super Doubles!
How I Saved on Halloween Candy This Year
The last few years I haven't spent any money on Halloween candy. Thanks to awesome coupon deals, I was able to snag free candy for all of our for trick-or-treaters. This year it seemed like there weren't as many bargains as in the past, but I still managed to pass out plenty of candy without spending a dime.
I started with Butterfingers and Hershey's snack size candy bars from Rite Aid. These were free for me, since I bought them with UP Rewards from money maker deals.
Next I added two bags of Lindt Lindor Truffles that I got for free at Food Lion.
Finally, I tossed in the contents of my candy jar: those free Werther's Caramels from Rite Aid, some leftover Hershey's Kisses from previous Rite Aid freebie deals, and those caramels and chocolate covered cherries that I use as "fillers" at Rite Aid, to be able to pay with UP Rewards instead of cash!
Even though I live in a suburban neighborhood that people drive to from rural areas to trick-or-treat with their children - which means that many more children than my neighbors come to the door - we still managed to have plenty of candy to pass out this year, plus a little left over for us to enjoy!

Harris Teeter Super Doubles Match-Up List #4
This is what I scored at Harris Teeter Super Doubles today. I'd like to say it was all free, but I actually spent $24.49 because something went wacko with my register. None of my ZVR's came off and only 5 of my 20 coupons doubled. I was in a big hurry and didn't have time to stop off at Customer Service, so I hope to sort it out tomorrow.
I found out after I published this list of matchups that there is a Catalina offer for the Cracker Barrel cheese through Nomber 3rd:
Buy 2 - get $1.00 Off Your Next Order
Buy 3 - get $2.00 Off Your Next Order
Buy 4 or more - get $3.00 Off Your Next Order

Harris Teeter Matchup List #3 and My Free Trip!
Here are the results of my first trip to Harris Teeter this week during their Super Double coupon event. My subtotal was $78.05. After coupons I paid 53 cents! That's a 99% savings, and I paid less than the total tax, which was $1.10!!
I used the overage from the CoverGirl Eye Enhancers and the Scope mouthwash to cover the cost of my marked down chicken drumettes ($2.90) and my Land O Frost Premium lunchmeat minis (50 cents each). Halloween on the Cheap!
Are you ready for Halloween? When my kids were little I used to take them shopping the week after Halloween and let them pick out their costumes for the following year - one size up, of course!
Now that they are older, they don't Trick-or-Treat, but they still have plenty of occasions to dress up. My daughter Bridgette wanted to be a witch for her school's spooky orchestra concert this week. A witch costume at Rite Aid was $24.99. Even with my 20% Gold Wellness discount, I thought it was too steep for an article of clothing that was only going to be worn once.
Instead, we found a vampire costume in our trunk of former Halloween outfits, cut off the big red collar, and paired it with thrift shop boots that can be worn for other occasions. A hat for 50 cents that we found at a yard sale completed the look.
My daughter, Charlotte, put together several get-ups for Spirit Week at her high school this week.
On Monday it was "Wacky Tacky "day:
On Tuesday, it was dress from the 1980's. We cut the sleeves off an old sweater to make "leg warmers". Here is her "Olivia Newton-John" look:
Wednesday, it was "Celebrity Day" and she decided to go as Jase from Duck Dynasty (minus the beard):
Thursday was "Twin" day, so she and a friend wore identical outfits. And today was "Pajama Day", so she didn't even have to get dressed!

My Free Giant Shopping Trip!
Here is a photo of my small, but free shopping trip to Giant today!
I used all of the coupons that I posted about HERE, but I altered my plan a bit, because after I got to the store I realized that I had not yet used this catalina that was expiring:
Here is what I got:
1 lb. Bananas - $1.06
2 Giant brand mega single roll paper towels - $1.00 each
1 box Honey Combs cereal - $1.99
1 Giant brand frozen spinach - $1.25
1 Hatfield ham steak - $2.00
Total - $7.30
I added a Shell gas card for $25.00 to be able to use both the catalina (which required a $25.00 purchase) and the flyer coupons (which required a$10.00 purchase). My subtotal came to $32.30.
Then I used these coupons:
$1.00 off produce
$1.00 off any product
$1.00 off any product
$1.00 off frozen food
$1.00 off meat
$1.00 off any cereal (home mailer coupon that I got in a trade)
$2.00 catalina from Campbell's
$2.00 off $25.00 catalina (pictured above)
Total coupons = $10.00
I owed $22.30 plus 22 cents tax - $22.52!
My cashier said, "that's strange, you bought a $25.00 gift card and didn't even pay $25.00!" - which means that not only were my groceries all free, but I saved a bit on gas too!
