Weekly Roundup #47 - November 18-24, 2012

I did something radical for Thanksgiving this year. I decided that I just didn't want a turkey. I don't really like turkey that much, but I always feel pressured to buy and cook one every Thanksgiving. What I really wanted was a pot roast and that's what I made! The roast was over $15.00, taking me slightly above my $50.00 budget for the week.

This year my son asked for an unusual gift for his 17th birthday. He wants to bake cookies for every student in every one of his classes at school to take in and share - so over 200 cookies. He asked me to get him 17 packages of refrigerated cookie dough that he could just pop into the oven. I've managed to get 8 packs for $1.00 each so far, and I hope to find some more deals next week.
