My Profitable Rite Aid and Food Lion Trips!

Today I made two stops on my shopping run. First to Food Lion, where I scanned my MVP card at the Savings Center kiosk and received a coupon for 50 cents off My Essentials brand ketchup. Here is what I got:
2 Sunlight Dish Soap with Lemon Oxi - $2.49 each = $4.98
My Essentials Ketchup (40 oz) - $1.58
Total = $6.56

I used two coupons for $1.00 off the Sunlight from HERE along with my 50 cent store coupon on the ketchup. My subtotal came to $4.33 with tax. I "paid" with a $3.00 catalina and $1.33 cash, then got another $3.00 catalina from Sunlight! I don't know how long the Sunlight deal is going to last, so if you are interested in free dish soap, I suggest you do it pronto!

Next I ran over to Rite Aid and picked up these items:
4 Blue Magic Hair & Scalp Conditioner - $2.55 each (Gold price) = $10.20
6 Pantene Shampoo - $3.00 each = $18.00
4 Covergirl Single Eye shadows - $3.39 each BOGO 50% off = $10.17
2 Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soap - 97 cents each = $1.94
1 CMN Charity Balloon (not pictured) - $1.00 donation
Total = $41.34

I had missed my chance to use the Buy One Get One free coupons for the Pantene that expired on Sunday, so this was the best scenario I could come up with to reach $30.00 on participating P&G products and get the $10.00 UP Reward. I used:

2 coupons to save $3.00 off 2 Pantene from the 3/31 P&G insert
2 catalina coupons from Rite Aid for $2.00 off Pantene
2 coupons to save $3.00 off 2 Covergirl from the 3/31 P&G insert
1 coupon to save $1.00 off two Dawn Hand Renewal from the 3/31 P&G insert
Coupon Total = $17.00

After coupons I owed $24.34 plus $2.02 in tax - $26.36 total. I "paid" with $24.00 in UP Rewards and $2.36 in cash. I got back the $10.00 UP Reward from P&G and two UP Rewards for $5.00 each from Blue Magic. The Blue Magic is a Monthly UP Reward on certain ethnic hair care products (Buy 2, get $5.00, Limit 3).

Although I lost $4.00 in UP Rewards on this transaction, I not only got the CMN Charity Balloon with $5.00 worth of coupons, but I now have $30.11 in credit towards the $50.00 that I need for the P&G Best in Beauty Rebate!
