  1. Thanks so much for the matchups!!! Could you share how you get Harris Teeter to apply an overage to your order? I just returned home from there and they price adjusted each coupon to the items price. Do you give your evic card last? What is the trick? Thanks!!!

  2. If an item costs less than $2.00 and you use a $1.00 coupon on it during SD's, it will ouly double up to the actual cost of the item, as you noted on your receipt, so that the item is free but with no overage.

There are 2 ways to get overage at HT:
    1. If the item is free as the result of a doubled coupon AND you have a ZVR for it loaded to your Vic card, the amount of the ZVR will go to other things in your order.
    2. If a coupon doesn't scan and the cashier has to put it in manually, it will double to the full amount. However, some stores will not accept coupons that don't scan, so this may or may not work in your favor.

You will notice all the items that I have listed as Money Makers in my HT match up lists involve the use of ZVR's.

  3. You are welcome! Actually, there is a third way to get overage at HT:

A coupon will double fully if you have extra of the same product (or product family) in your transaction for the overage to go onto. For example, if you bought two 3 Musketeers candy bars this week for $1.19, and used the coupon for 75 cents off two, it will only double up to $1.19. However, if you purchased three 3 Musketeers, the remaining 31 cents would flow over to the third candy bar, so that instead of 59 cents, that one would cost you 28 cents.

Likewise, if you have other Mar's candy bars purchased in the same transaction that still have remaining amounts due, the overage would go towards them. So for instance, if you buy two 3 Musketeers and 4 Twix bars (using the $.50/2 Twix IP), the 3 Musketeers would be free and you would still owe 9 cents apiece on the Twix or 36 cents total. But the 31 cents of potential overage on the 3 Musketeers would attach to what is owed on the Twix, making the entire transaction cost 5 cents!
