Food Lion Shopping Catalina Surprise!

This morning I ran into Food Lion to get the deal on Red Baron pizzas. I was a bit concerned when I saw the sale tag advertising them at 3 for $10.00, but they did ring up for $3.00 each. 

I also added two $20.00 Domino's Pizza gift cards to my transaction in hopes of receiving a ticket for the Holiday Shop and Earn promo. I bought these same gift cards 2 weeks ago along with another item and received a ticket, but last week I bought just the gift cards and received no ticket. 

Today, I also did not get a ticket, but I did get this wonderful Catalina for $5.00 off my next purchase of $5.00 or more on any groceries! 

Cheap Red Baron Pizza - Food Lion & Harris Teeter!

Red Baron pizza is on sale this week at both Food Lion and Harris Teeter and you can get a great price with the coupon pictured above!

At Food Lion the price is 2 for $6.00, or $3.00 each. Print the coupon HERE to get two for $5.00 or only $2.50 each! 

At Harris Teeter the pizza is an Evic special price of $2.97 each with a limit of 2. Buy 2 for $5.94 and pay $4.94 after the coupon you can print HERE or only $2.47 each!

Food Lion Holiday Shop & Earn Promo!

Once again this year Food Lion is running a promotion to collect 6 weekly tickets (out of 8 weeks) and earn a voucher worth $20.00 off your next shopping order! 

The promo runs from 10/1/14 to 11/25/14 and the tickets must be redeemed by 12/9/14. To earn a ticket, visit Food Lion and spend $40.00 or more while shopping. 

Last year you could earn the ticket by adding a gift card to your purchases. I hope it works again this year, since I never spend $40.00 in one trip! 

My Fabulous Food Lion Shopping Trip Today!

This morning I went to Food Lion to get the free Lipton Tea and look for the Bar-S products that are free after mail in rebate. Unfortunately, my store didn't carry any of the Premium Bar-S products included in the Try Me Free offer. However, when I  scanned my MVP card at the Savings Center machine in Food Lion and got two fantastic coupons:

I had a tough time deciding which condiment and cleaning items to buy, but settled on the Mount Olive Sweet Relish for $2.19 and the Home 360 brand automatic dishwasher detergent for $3.29. My total for everything in the photo, including tax, was 55 cents! 

I also noticed this Try Me Free offer in the cleaning products aisle, which is good through the end of 2014:

You may have noticed that I am no longer posting the weekly sales and Food Lion Internet Printable coupons on Loudoun County Limbo. That is because Food Lion has discontinued sending out the FLIP coupons. I am sorry to see those coupons off total purchase meat, produce and bakery item coupons go away, but if the alternative is these MVP savings center coupons for practically free items, I can't complain!

My Money Making Food Lion Shopping Trip!

Today is the last day to turn in your 6 tickets for the Holiday Meal Promo! 

I cashed mine in and got my $20.00 voucher, then put a lot of thought into how to spend it. We were out of dog food, so that was a no-brainer, and I found some Perdue boneless, skinless chicken breasts marked down 1/2 price. I also got 5 frozen meals on sale for $1.00 each so that I could use my Frozen Food FLIP. Finally, I bought some apples for the Saving Star Healthy Offer this week.

Here is my breakdown:
1 bag Home 360 Dog Food (10 lbs) - $9.49
1 bag Perdue Perfect Portions - $4.40
4 Banquet frozen meals - $4.00
1 Michelinas frozen meal - $1.00
4 Red Delicious Apples - $2.26
Total - $21.15

= 15 cents plus tax! 

I paid 26 cents out of pocket and I will get back 45 cents from Saving Star for the apples!
