Today I stopped into Giant to pick up some more cereal for the Gas Points deal and decided to look for the new Lance Xtra Fulls crackers since I had been unable to find them at Food Lion. They were on sale for $2.50, so free with the coupon for $2.78 that you can print HERE! (Click on: get a free sample.)
I won 5 of these coupons in a giveaway from Shuriken last week and used them like this to get overage:
- Scanned 5 boxes of Lance Xtra Fulls at self-checkout
- Scanned 5 Kellogg's Cereal cups for $1.00 each
- Scanned the 5 coupons which took off $3.59 each (the price of the crackers at Giant when they are not on sale.)
- Scanned my Giant card
My total was $1.01 including tax for the 10 items, plus I earned 400 gas points!
Wow what a buy..LOVE Giant here in PA.. Does your Giant double coupons? And how many of the same? I am just curious. Our does one of a kind though. But I do love their gas deals, can't beat them sometimes. I love reading your posts, keep them coming.

Thanks, Lisa. My Giant doubles coupons up to 99 cents, and their official policy is that you may double 12 identical coupons per transaction. For this transaction, if I had scanned my Giant card first, I believe the coupon would have only taken off the sale price of the crackers or $2.50. I didn't feel bad about getting $3.59, though, because the website says the coupon is supposed to get you a free item. They are free at Walmart for $2.78 but more expensive everywhere else!
