Staples School Supplies Shopping & Surprise!

Yesterday I had to drop my husband off in Dunn Loring. On the way back I saw a Staples and popped in to the get the free ream of paper that I posted about the other day. As I walked in, I grabbed the sales flyer and saw this coupon:

My paper was $7.99, so I decided to browse the shipping supplies to see if should spend another $23.00 and use the coupon. The cost of padded envelopes, bubble wrap, and tape was exorbitant so I passed, but I did find a lot of stuff on clearance.

Most of it was still more expensive than what I would ordinarily pay with coupons. I grabbed 2 twin packs of scouring pads for 50 cents each, and then I found this nice display of notebooks for 17 cents apiece, so I bought 6:

The coupon for the copy paper took off $3.00 at the register so my total came to $7.43 with tax, and I will get back another $4.99 from the Staples Easy Rebate.

As I pulled out of the shopping center I accidentally took a wrong turn into a residential neighborhood. When I pulled into a cul-de-sac to turn around, I saw this set out for the trash and threw it into my car:

When I got home, I unpacked and this what was inside - more fodder for my Ebay store!!
