My Profitable Harris Teeter Trip & More Matchups!

Here is a pic of my Harris Teeter trip yesterday. I had a coupon for $1.00 off the Fiber One 90 calorie bars from a package that I had been holding on to for a sale like this, so they were free with the 50 cent ZVR ecoupon!

My total bill came to $1.55 and I will get back:
$1.25 from Ibotta for the Neosporin
40 cents from Saving Star for the Fiber One bars
50 cents from Saving Star for the Chex Mix
for a final profit of 60 cents!

My Drugstore Shopping Today!

Today, after I finished my volunteer shift at the Loudoun Interfaith Food Pantry I swung by the three drugstores in Leesburg for their special deals.  Here is what I ended up spending a total of $4.50 on:

I'm holding the Children's Miracle Network "balloon" from Rite Aid. It has $7.00 worth of Rite Aid store coupons on it that can be stacked with manufacturer's coupons. These coupon say manufacturer's coupon on them, but you can tell they are really store coupons because they begin with RC under the bar code.

At Rite Aid I got the balloon for a $1.00 donation, plus two Revlon Scented nail polishes that had been clearanced to $1.19, although they were not marked. I used 2 coupons for $1.00 off any Revlon Color Cosmetics item from the 4/1/12 Smart Source insert, so my total came to 50 cents. After I paid $1.50, I got back a $3.00 UP Reward for buying any two Revlon products!

At Walgreens I bought 4 dozen eggs, on sale 2 for $2.00. I used two 55 cent coupons that you can print here, so my total came to exactly $3.00 with tax.

At CVS I spent nothing out of pocket. I had $10.00 in ECB's that were about to expire and I needed cereal, so this is what I got:

$7.96 - 3 Kelloggs Rice Krispies and 1 Corn Flakes ($1.99 each)

$7.50 - 3 Special K cereals ($2.50 each)

$3.99 - Depends Silhouette for Women

$2.00 - 4 cans Bumble Bee Tuna (50 cents each)

Colgate - Major Money Maker at Rite Aid!

This week Rite Aid has Colgate toothpaste on sale for $3.50 and you earn a $3.50 Up reward when you buy it, so FREE!  Make sure you get the Total Advanced or Sensitive brand. The limit is 4 UP rewards per Wellness Card.


It is a money maker with coupons:

Buy 4 Colgate toothpaste for $3.50 each = $14.00

Use four $1.00 manufacturer's coupons from the 2-12-12 Smart Source insert = $4.00

Pay $10.00 plus tax out of pocket

Get back $14.00 in Up rewards!

There is also a .50 Rite Aid store coupon for Colgate toothpaste in the Diabetes Toolkit coupon booklet that I posted about recently, that you can "stack" with the manufacturer's coupon for a bigger profit.

If you haven't yet done the Black History Month mail in rebate to get back $5.00 when you buy $10.00 in Colgate-Palmolive products from the 1-29-12 Smart Source insert, you can submit your receipt and UPC's to get back another $5.00! Just remember to buy of your items in one transaction.

 

Colgate is one of the products that qualifies for the Diabetes UP worth $10 when you spend $50 on specified products. This one tracks on your receipt, so you don't have to spend all $50 at once. Grab the Wellness Diabetes flyer and have the cashier scan it when you shop to get credit.

Free Magnifying Glasses at Rite Aid!

This week Rite Aid has Foster Grant "Spare Pair" reading glasses on sale Buy One, Get One 50% off.

The regular price is $9.99 so your second pair only costs $5.00.  Buy 2 pair with your Wellness Card for a total of $14.99 and get back an UP reward for $15.00!  

Go to the pharmacy and ask for the Diabetes Toolkit first. It's a box that looks like this:

   

Inside you will find a coupon booklet that has a $5.00 coupon off any Foster Grant eyeglasses. You will end up with two pair of free magnifying glasses and make a $5.00 profit!

These glasses also count towards the February Winter Rewards "Buy and Save" promotion to get back $10.00 when you spend $100.00.

Pfizer Rebate or How I Get Paid to Shop!

 Last night I made an amazing shopping trip in order to submit for this rebate which was in the Red Plum insert of 1-29-12. It is good for $10 back when you buy three of the following Pfizer products:

- Centrum, Centrum Silver, or Centrum Specialists 60ct+,
- ProNutrients Omega or Fruits & Veggies 50ct+or ProNutrients Probiotic 14ct+,
- Caltrate Soft Chews 60ct+,
- Advil 40ct+ Advil PM 16ct+, Children's Advil 4oz+, or Advil Congestion Relief 10ct+
- Thermacare 2ct+,
- Robitussin liquid 4oz+ or tablet/cough gel 20ct+
- Dimetapp 4oz+
 
Your purchases must be made between 1/24/12 and 2/29/12 and the limit is one per household. All three items must be on one receipt!

I wormed my way through the crazed last minute Valentine's Day shoppers at Rite Aid to pick up 6 Thermacare HeatWraps. They were on sale 2/$12 so my total came to $36.

I used six coupons for $3 off each that I got here totalling $18. That brought my out of pocket expense down to $18.

The Thermacare HeatWraps qualify for two current +UP promotions at Rite Aid:
Weekly UP deal
- Get a $4 Up reward when you buy 2 Thermacare (Limit 4)
Monthly UP deal
- Get a $10 UP reward when you spend $25 on Advil/Thermacare (Limit 4)

Since I spent $36 before coupons, I qualified for the $10 UP plus three of the $4 UP's, and got back $22 in UP rewards.

However, I only actually spent $18, so I made a $4 profit on the spot. After I submit for the rebate, I will get another $10 for a total $14 profit.

The amount that you spend on the Advil/Thermacare deal will track on the bottom of your receipt - you don't need to spend all $25 in one transaction.  Since I "spent" $36 yesterday, I have $11 left over towards another $10 UP when you spend $25.

I plan to pick up 3 more Thermacare today for another $18, minus $9 in coupons, pay $9 out of pocket and get my last $4 UP and another $10 UP. That will give me another $5 profit for a grand total of $19!

Finally, Rite Aid has a promotion going on for the month of February called the Winter Rewards. When you spend $100 during the month on qualifying items with your Wellness Card, you get a $20 UP reward. The Thermacare are on the list of qualifying items, so by purchasing 9 of them for $6 each, I will have accumulated $54 towards this reward! Click here for a complete list of items that qualify.

Mentos UP2U Gum

Mentos UP2U gum is free this week at both Giant (through Thursday) and Rite Aid (through Saturday). Both stores have it on sale for $1 and if you use the $1 coupon off any single pack in the Smart Source insert of 1-1-2011 it is FREE.

Though you may want to hang on to some coupons for next week, since it will be a "money maker" at Rite Aid. UP2U gum will be $1, and you will get a $1 UP reward when you buy 3 packs in one transaction. The limit is 4, so you could end up with 12 FREE packs of gum and a $4 profit!
