Free Clairol Hair Color = $15.00 Profit!

Last week I posted about getting FREE Tampax Radiant at Rite Aid and CVS here, noting that it resulted in $11.97 towards the Proctor & Gamble mail in rebate. Today I completed the requirement to spend $50.00 for the rebate by purchasing Clairol hair color at Rite Aid. This scenario worked well for me because I have a Gold (20%) Wellness discount. If you don't, you can still do it, but will pay some out of pocket.

I bought 5 boxes of Clairol Nice & Easy hair color - Reg. price $7.99
With discount - $6.39 each
Total = $31.95
This qualified me for the $10.00 Up Reward that you get when you spend $30.00 on Clairol products this week.

Then I found a box of Clairol Natural Instincts in the clearance section for $4.49, which I added to my transaction. I needed a total of 6 boxes to use the following coupons:

Save $5.00 when you buy 2 Clairol Hair Color from the 4/15 Smart Source insert (3 of those)

Save $4.00 when you buy 2 Clairol Hair Color from the Rite Aid flyer (in-ad) (3 of those)

So my transaction looked like this:  $31.95 + $4.49 = $36.44
Minus
$15.00 in manufacturer's coupons
$12.00 in store coupons
Coupons = $27.00
$36.44 - $27.00 = $9.44 total out of pocket
Get back $10.00 UP Reward!

Lastly, I picked up a FREE box of Always Infinity Radiant pads that I posted about here.

This gave me a receipt with purchases of P&G products totalling $40.43. Added to my receipts of $11.97 for Tampax for a total of $52.40, I qualified for the $15.00 rebate without spending anything but tax!
