My Fantastic Food Lion Shopping Trip!

I went to Food Lion today with a couple of the FLIP coupons that I posted about HERE:

$1.50 off any soft drink purchase of $4.00 or more
$1.00 off any $5.00 produce purchase

I also had the $10.00 Super Saver coupon that I earned on my last trip and a $1.00 Super Saver coupon that came in the mail yesterday after I called customer service.

The only thing I was definitely planning to buy were 4 cans of Tuttoroso tomatoes. However, when I scanned my MVP card at the Saving Center kiosk, out popped these two coupons:

Save $3.00 on a $30.00 purchase
Save 50 cents on a 5 lb bag of Food Lion sugar

I decided to get my total up to $30.00 and include inexpensive My Essentials items in order to roll my Super Saver catalina.

I started with the sugar - $3.59 and the tomatoes - $4.00 = $7.49.

I remembered that I had received a coupon in trade for a free International Delights Iced Coffee and I added that in to boost my total by another $4.49 to $12.08.

Next, I picked out 5 bottles of My Essentials soda that were 88 cents each so that I could use my FLIP, and that totaled another $4.40 bringing me to $16.48.

I also realized that I could use my grapefruit coupon together with my produce FLIP, so I purchased a 5 lb bag of grapefruit, some bananas and some onions to add another $6.47. That made my total $22.95.

Finally, I added 15 My Essentials yogurts at 50 cents each to bring my total up to $30.45.

The cashier then scanned these coupons:
$3.00 off a $30.00 purchase
$1.50 off My Essentials soda purchase of $4.00 or more
$1.00 off a $5.00 produce purchase
$2.00 off any grapefruit (3 lb or larger)
50 cents off My Essentials sugar
$1.00 off 2 Tuttoroso tomatoes

$4.49 - Free International Delights Iced Coffee

I owed $15.96 and "paid" with my $11.00 in Super Saver coupons, so my out of pocket cost was $4.96 plus 33 cents tax = $5.29.

Then, I got back another Super Saver catalina coupon for $5.25!!!
