What's for Dessert?

If you printed and used the coupon that I blogged about HERE to save $2.00 on grapefruit, then you might want to make this recipe suggested by reader Diana.  Diana used her coupon at Harris Teeter to buy a 3 lb. bag of grapefruit for under $2.00 and got overage!

Broiled Grapefruit
You will need:
Grapefruit
Honey
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon

Set your broiler to high.

Cut the grapefruit in half, then cut the fruit inside loose with a knife, and score all the way around for easy removal by spoon when they are done.
Sprinkle a tablespoon or so of brown sugar over them, add a dash of cinnamon, then drizzle on some honey.

Pop the grapefruit into the broiler for 7 or 8 minutes until the sugar is caramelized and the fruit is swollen and bursting out of the skin.

Enjoy! Good for breakfast too......
