I spent $10.00 in UP Rewards and $2.96 out of pocket for this trip, and got back $14.00 in UP Rewards plus a Catalina coupon for a free gallon of milk valued up to $4.00!
Since it was a government holiday today and my husband didn't have to work, I invited him on a movie date with me to see "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire". We had gone as a family to see the first movie in the series last year with free movie passes that I earned from the Kellogg's Spiderman Code promotion.
Since then, each of my 3 kids had been invited to see the sequel with friends, but Jeff and I had not yet seen it. I had one free ticket from the Proctor and Gamble offer that I posted about HERE, that was going to expire on January 31, 2014.
I also had a free Hollywood Movie Cash ticket from Stouffer's Dinner Rewards, so that we were able to get in completely free!
I remembered to have the cashier scan my Cobb Moviegoer Club card so that we got 4 points, as well.
The movie was amazing - I highly recommend it!
My marvelous Monday ended by filling up my tank with gas.
Since the weather report is calling for a lot of snow and cold temperatures tomorrow, and my tank was low, we decided to fill up after the movie. I used the 50 cent gas discount that I got from Safeway and that I posted about HERE.
I had previously stated that no Exxon stations in Loudoun County participate in the Safeway Rewards Program, but I was wrong. The Exxon in Purcellville is a participant and I got almost 19 gallons of gas there for only $54.50!!

Sounds like a great day. I was planning on doing all of my things like gas and going to CVS in the morning after dropping my son off and now school is closed so I guess I am going to have to be sad that I didn't spend my day better while we had good weather!! UGH!
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful! I loved that movie and can't wait to see the last two (I'm glad they are splitting up the final book into two movies). I'm glad you confirmed the milk catalina because I hadn't seen that on anyone else's Rite Aid match ups--but that's why you're the best! :)
